Montreal-based Innobec Technologies is moving to expand its presence in the Ottawa area.
The software development and consulting firm has acquired Gatineau’s Dium, Innobec announced on Tuesday.
Innobec says its acquisition of the software development company, which specializes in web and mobile design, will expand its offerings.

“By adding the Dium team, we are able to increase our presence, expand our operations and develop new technological expertise,” said Stéphane Rouleau, president and CEO of Innobec, in a press release.
“What’s more, having a presence in the Ottawa region was the next step in our business development plan, bringing us closer to our clients and helping us penetrate new markets.”
Francis Hétu, one of Dium’s co-founders, has been named the new general manager of Innobec’s Ottawa-area operations.
Innobec will now have almost 100 total employees in its Montreal and Gatineau offices, according to the press release.
