Ottawa-based Calian Technologies announced Monday it has renewed a multimillion-dollar training contract with the Department of National Defence.
The contract, for training at the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics at CFB Kingston, is worth more than $8 million over two years. The deal has two one-year options which would increase the value to more than $16 million over four years if exercised.
Under terms of the contract, Calian staff will develop e-learning courseware and offer training on DND’s communications systems, network management, electronics and the use and maintenance of cryptographic communications equipment. Calian will also train linemen on the implementation of physical communications infrastructure.
