The Ottawa 2017 Bureau will look no further than a Kanata startup for its solution to managing the thousands of volunteers expected to lend their hands during the city’s year-long bash to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday.
The organization announced Tuesday that it will use InitLive’s cloud- and smartphone-based application to plan, schedule and communicate with its volunteers throughout 2017.
“The planning of these landmark celebrations offers an excellent opportunity to work with leading local companies, such as InitLive, enabling us to highlight the expertise and creativity of Ottawa’s high-tech community while delivering a memorable year with lasting impacts for area businesses,” the bureau’s executive director Guy Laflamme said in a statement.
