Four local companies were called to the podium at the Ontario Home Builders Awards of Distinction ceremonies at the Convention Centre Monday night.
The top honour of the night, Home Builder of the Year, went to Minto Homes.
The OHBA issued a release saying Minto “excels in its commitment to energy-efficient, high-quality craftsmanship in its new home construction and creative approaches to sales and marketing.”

The OHBA said Oakwood has “built an enviable reputation” during its 58 years in business and was also credited for embracing new technologies to go green with its work.
Nominees in those two categories were judged on their sales and marketing, floor plan design, community service, support of industry and adaptability.
There were winners in 39 categories in all and two other local firms were among them.
Lagois Design-Build-Renovate won for Most Outstanding Home Renovation, $250,001-$500,000, and Kanata’s Glenview Homes won for Best Interior Decorating, Model Home/Suite, up to 2,000 square feet.
