Developer submits plans for a Target store on St. Laurent Blvd.

A developer’s plan to build a new space for a Target store in the Ottawa’s east end is moving its way through the city’s planning process.

A development application submitted to the city calls for replacing the one-storey building at 1021 St. Laurent Blvd. that used to house a Zellers store and replacing it with a two-storey Target store.

While the plan had initially called for most of the Zellers to be demolished, a revised plan filed with the city over the summer call for most of the building to remain.
