A developer is asking the city for permission to demolish three residential buildings close to Parkdale and Burnside avenues to make way for a 30-storey condo development.
A detached home at 71 Burnside Ave. and two six-unit apartment buildings, located at 111 and 115 Parkdale Ave., would be torn down to make way for the new development if the request is approved.
According to a “community heads up” released by the city’s planning department on Thursday, the demolition control must be approved before a building permit can be issued. The document did not say which developer is behind the project.
