The Gold Hearts Gala—Mayor Mark Sutcliffe’s Charity Ball—was a standout evening that brought together community leaders and supporters for an important cause. The event raised more than $375,000 in support of the Ottawa Community Foundation, helping advance the goal of ending youth homelessness in Ottawa by 2030.
Held at the Fairmont Château Laurier, the gala highlighted the venue’s exceptional hospitality, with a dedicated team delivering a seamless and elegant experience for guests.
One of the most impactful moments of the evening was the story of Cassandra, who shared her journey of overcoming youth homelessness and her success as a business owner, drawing strong engagement from attendees.
The evening was hosted by Jamie Fine, whose humour, warmth, and genuine love for Ottawa resonated throughout the room. Her ability to connect with the audience helped set the tone for a meaningful and memorable night.
