Tinybox Systems

Product Description: Tinybox uses aerospace technology to enable builders to construct homes anywhere in 48 hours. Tinybox has reduced the components in each wall by 95 per cent with its vacuum-insulated wall module and replaced most of the plumbing and sewage with a bioreactor. Overall, Tinybox can build 10 times faster and at 30 per cent lower cost.
Target Customers: Builders in underserved areas where it’s hard to build homes due to difficult access, shipping, lack of labour, lack of infrastructure, etc.
Competitive Differentiator: Other prefab requires oversized trucks and cranes, Tinybox doesn’t; other builders are constrained by geography, Tinybox can ship anywhere as it’s flat-packed.
Traction or Notable Milestone: Three generations of Tinybox’s prototype, in which the founders have lived for a year. Tinybox is currently delivering to eight customers in the Arctic, Toronto, Montreal and California. Tinybox has reduced build time from four weeks down to three days.
