Ottawa-based online estate planning company LegalWills now offers online will and estate-planning services in South Africa after inking a new partnership with South African trust company Legatus Trust.
Launched in 2000, LegalWills already provides online will-writing and estate-planning services to clients in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.
The new partnership will extend existing services offered by Legatus Trust to incorporate LegalWills’ online will-writing software, and financial advisers will be able to create wills on behalf of their clients. South African LegalWills clients will also be able to select Legatus Trust as their executor.

The partnership with LegalWills represents Legatus Trust’s dedication to incorporating new technology into the estate-planning process, director Hendrik Bruinette said.
Established in 1992, Legatus Trust is an independent trust company dedicated to providing a full array of fiduciary services.
