Spurred by ‘significant growth,’ Martello adds new exec

After what it describes as a year of “significant growth,” Ottawa-based Martello Technologies says it is adding a new executive to help ensure that trend continues.

The company, which develops network monitoring software for Mitel unified communications systems, says it has hired Doug Bellinger as vice-president of research and development.

Mr. Bellinger was most recently chief technology officer at Nakina Technologies. Before that, he was an executive at Atreus Systems for almost 10 years.

“Martello is well-positioned for double-digit growth in the 2015 fiscal year,” CEO Bruce Linton said in a release. “In adding Doug Bellinger to the team, we will accelerate product development and expand our offering to the unified communications market.”

Martello, founded in 2009, says its MarWatch software is now being used to monitor more than 1,000 networks worldwide. It was named one of OBJ’s Startups to Watch in 2012.
