Plantagenet-based PiiComm is opening its third office in the Ottawa region, the company said this week.
The company, which develops mobile technology products for enterprise, says the new office will allow the company to expand its workforce by 40 per cent and give it easier access to Ottawa’s talent pool.
“PiiComm is witnessing remarkable growth and building some incredible momentum,” Shawn Sicard, the company’s CEO, said in a statement. “We are expanding significantly both in terms of workforce and capacity of innovative solutions. I am confident that even after 10 years of working in the IT industry, we will stay at the cutting edge of technology for many years to come.”

Ottawa’s growth is at an inflection point
One thing the Welch LLP Business Growth Survey taught us this year is most of the business community thinks we’re on track, but have a ways to go.
In September, PiiComm made the Profit 500 list of the fastest-growing companies in Canada, reporting revenue growth of more than 200 per cent during the previous year.
This will be the second new office for PiiComm in less than a year. In May 2015, the company moved its headquarters from Alfred to nearby Plantagenet.
The company plans to maintain its offices in both Alfred and Plantagenet.
