Prices in Ottawa’s housing market continued to climb throughout 2021, resulting in a sharp year-over-year cost comparison. The biggest jump occurred in Kanata, where one neighbourhood saw a 150 per cent price increase compared to 2020.
Housing prices in rural areas have also been on the rise, according to data from the Ottawa Real Estate Board. Areas in Osgoode, Leitrim and Manotick saw significant increases, all above 40 per cent.
