Applications are closing soon for a global pitch competition coming to Ottawa this fall specifically aimed at startups with diverse founders.
The SoGal Foundation is hosting one of its approximately 25 regional pitch competitions in Ottawa later this year.
SoGal’s mission is to support diverse entrepreneurs and close the gap in areas such as venture capital, where female founders take a stunningly small slice of the pie – even less when it comes to women of colour. This is the second year the non-profit is hoping to shine the spotlight on female and visible minority founders with a global pitch competition.
