Lixar announced Tuesday a multi-year deal with NASCAR that will see the Ottawa firm become the racing organization’s preferred technology partner.
“Lixar technology will deliver a large-scale customer interaction solution that will reshape the guest experience when it comes to accessing the garage at NASCAR events,” NASCAR’s executive vice-president and chief racing development officer Steve O’Donnell said in a statement.
Lixar actually started working on NASCAR’s Garage Access Program at the Daytona Speedweeks in February. That’s when the racing circuit merged its in-house credentialing and registration operations to form The Guest Fulfillment Center. NASCAR plans to use Lixar technology to make the credential process easier and faster.
