If your software-as-a-service startup is getting the insatiable itch for growth, L-Spark wants you. The Kanata-based accelerator has opened applications for its Fall 2017 cohort.
You know L-Spark by now, but just in case you’re foggy, the accelerator program is obsessed with scaling SaaS firms.
Now three years old, L-Spark has nearly 30 companies in its portfolio. The Better Software Co. may well be the program’s poster child with $3 million in seed funding on its way to founder Steve Cody’s goal of becoming a $1-billion company.

L-Spark pivoted last fall, announcing it would no longer be running its incubator program and would instead focus on running accelerators for early and late-stage companies. Startups hoping to apply to the fall cohort must already have a product in market with between $10,000 and $30,000 in monthly recurring revenue.
The accelerator provides mentorship, connections to investors and workshops ranging from customers sales to investor relations.
Managing director Leo Lax shared his 2017 expectations with Techopia earlier this year, saying he anticipated a number of cohort members to raise seed and series-A funding rounds. True to his predictions, Member365, a recent graduate of the program, recently announced a $1.3 million seed funding round of its own.
