Canadian Tire’s chief technology officer, Eugene Roman, will be a keynote speaker at GTEC, the government tech event announced Wednesday.
GTEC, to be held at the Ottawa Convention Centre in late October, will focus this year on the challenges and opportunities in government IT.
Mr. Roman’s presentation on Oct. 29 will address how a cyber-powered government can better serve Canadians. He’ll talk about traditional IT being rapidly replaced by new technology tools that have the potential to deliver enriched government services, but also to create unpredictable risk. He will also discuss how IT experts can manage these new tools.
