Defence, security, and cybersecurity executive leaders gathered Jan. 29 at Invest Ottawa to explore how the sector is evolving in response to global trends and emerging priorities.

Co-moderated by OBJ Publisher Michael Curran and journalist Phil Gaudreau, the roundtable assembled voices from across the industry to examine current barriers, new opportunities, and innovative models aimed at boosting agility and sovereignty in the sector.

Early momentum was created by companies such as Solink, founded by Mike Matta, which applied computer vision to retail analytics, and Ranovus, led by Hany Mussad, which develops the optical hardware necessary for high-capacity AI data centres.
