Aiana Restaurant Collective hosted its Second Annual Reconciliation Gathering on September 23, 2025, uniting Indigenous leaders, Elders, government representatives, and members of the business community for an evening of dialogue and cultural collaboration.

The event once again highlighted Minwaashin Lodge, a community-based organization supporting First Nations, Inuit, and Métis women and children through culturally rooted programs and services. Last year’s gathering raised close to $100,000, funding critical necessities for the Lodge’s clients. With Indigenous women disproportionately affected by ongoing economic pressures, this year’s goal was raised to $150,000, underscoring both the urgency and scale of need.

Guests experienced a collaborative dining presentation led by Chef Raghav of Aiana alongside Chef Anna Cote of Kitigan Zibi Anishinaabeg, pairing culinary expression with reflections from Indigenous leaders. The atmosphere blended cultural exchange with an emphasis on community-building partnerships, reaffirming reconciliation as both a moral and practical priority.
