Nearly three dozen professional services firms are being invited to bid on an “urgent” federal project to help government officials understand the long-term impact of COVID-19 and map out opportunities for Canadian businesses in a post-pandemic economy.
A request for proposals was published Friday and sent to businesses with an existing task-based professional services (TBPS) supply arrangement for business consulting / change management and project management. The list, published on the federal government’s main procurement website, includes many of the region’s largest government vendors, including ADGA Group, BDO, Calian Group, Deloitte, IT/Net, KPMG and others.
Specifically, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada is looking for a contractor to analyze key strategic industrial sectors, model scenarios and spark “big ideas,” according to bid documents.

The bid documents do not contain a budget for the project, but note that any contract will not exceed $3.75 million – the maximum value of this supply arrangement.
