The Ottawa office of Canadian construction giant EllisDon has received a multimillion-contract to construct a police station 50 kilometres south of the Arctic Circle, according to procurement records.
The federal government says the construction management contract involves overseeing the project from design through close-out.
The new RCMP detachment is to be located in Pangnirtung, NT, a community of approximately 1,500 residents on Baffin Island located roughly 2,400 kilometres from Ottawa.
