Construction intentions in Ottawa dipped sharply in February, with residential projects accounting for a large proportion of activity in the sector.

A total of 420 construction permits were issued by the city last month for a total of $105.05 million. That’s down 29.41 per cent compared to the $148.81 million worth of permits issued in February 2012, which was the highest level in at least four years.
