Pouring the foundation of a new building at Lansdowne Park was the largest construction project initiated last month, according to municipal records.
The combined value of construction permits issued by the city last month was $196.5 million, identical to June 2012. In the same time period, the number of issued permits jumped to 903, from 848.
Local construction activity is roughly on par with levels recorded last year. During the first six months of 2013, the city issued permits for projects worth a combined $1.02 billion, down from $1.03 billion a year earlier.
