An Ottawa-based clean-tech company has landed a multimillion-dollar deal to provide water and wastewater treatment systems for a mobile home park near Kemptville.
Clearford Industries (TSX-V: CLI) announced Wednesday it has inked a 30-year, $3-million agreement with the Fetherston Mobile Park in North Grenville to replace the park’s aging water treatment infrastructure.
Clearford will install its “state-of-the-art” Clearford One sanitation system, the company said, the first time the technology has been used in Canada. The system will initially service up to 41 residential lots, with the potential to accommodate another 100 lots.

As part of the deal, Clearford has contracted out the operation of the site and the installation of some components to three other firms. ASI Group will operate the facility, while Newterra Ltd. will provide the wastewater treatment plant and UV Pure Technologies will supply the ultraviolet water purification system.
“We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring together the products and skills of four of Ontario’s leading water companies to provide Fetherston a state-of-the-art decentralized water and wastewater system,” Clearford president and CEO Kevin Loiselle said in a statement.
Pending approval from the provincial environment ministry, Clearford plans to start construction this summer. The project is slated to be completed later this year.
