Ottawa-based cloud networking solution provider BTI Systems has appointed James Clegg senior vice-president, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) sales, the company announced Tuesday.
The move is part of the company’s continued expansion into Europe. Its cloud networking solution was recently selected by Interxion, a Pan-European provider of cloud and carrier-neutral colocation data centre services.
The firm’s senior vice-president of worldwide sales, Tim Pillow, said Europe leads the world in many industry trends.

Mr. Clegg has executive sales and management experience with companies such as Sun Microsystems, Crossbeam Systems, Arbor Networks and Bay Networks.
The company also announced it has joined the European Internet Exchange Association, a group that promotes an open interchange of ideas and experiences for mutual benefit.
BTI Systems will also participate in key industry events in Germany and Romania in October.
