The Youth Services Bureau Foundation is looking to recruit several qualified candidates to join its board of directors.
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, compassionate and highly committed team of business and community leaders drawn from all sectors, all of whom believe youth deserve support and opportunity regardless of the barriers or challenges they face.
As a director, you will deepen your interest and understanding of the issues faced by vulnerable youth in Ottawa. You will have the opportunity to participate in Foundation and community third-party events and virtual events in support of YSB, as well as a variety of fundraising and advertising campaigns. Most importantly, you will realize the direct impact your compassion and contributions make on vulnerable youth and their families.

While the YSB Foundation was established slightly more than 10 years ago, YSB has been operating since 1960 and today is one of the largest, most comprehensive non-profit agencies serving youth in Ottawa.
More than 350 caring professionals provide in-person and virtual services – in both English and French – that support vulnerable youth and their families in the areas of mental health, shelters and housing, employment and justice.
The board’s focus is on fundraising and raising YSB’s profile in the community. Directors are elected by the membership for a renewable two-year term.
The ideal candidates will have the time to offer meaningful contributions as well as the skillset, expertise and experience necessary to guide the Foundation to continued success.
The YSB Foundation is particularly seeking candidates with strong connections within the corporate world and throughout the community.
Candidates interested in making a difference in the community by becoming a YSB Foundation board member are invited to submit a cover letter and CV to YSB Foundation executive director Patti Murphy at pmurphy@ysb.ca.
