Rob White, a perennial Ottawa tech board member and the man purportedly behind one of the biggest acquisitions in the city’s history, is bringing his expertise to You.i TV, replacing the retiring Pete Rose as chief financial officer.
White takes the CFO role at the Kanata-based television application developer after a career in tech finance that saw him spend 12 years with IBM. During that time, he oversaw that company’s acquisition of Cognos in a deal worth $5 billion – one of the largest acquisitions in Ottawa’s history.
White’s role at You.i TV will involve fundraising to scale the fast-growing firm, according to a job description posted when the firm first signalled the retirement of incumbent CFO Peter Rose in June.
