Ottawa-based cleantech company BluMetric announced Thursday it has been awarded two new contracts worth about $2 million.
BluMetric (TSX-V: BLM) will supply a high-quality on-site wastewater treatment system for a new housing development in the Toronto area.
In a release, the company said it won the award because it meets the Ontario Ministry of Environment’s discharge criteria and the company is able to integrate all elements of the treatment system.

The second contract is with a major multinational based in Kentucky that requires specialized wastewater treatment equipment.
“These contracts reflect the range of potential for BluMetric’s water treatment technologies, as well as the strength of our growing sales representative network,” Dan Scroggins, the president of BluMetric’s water division, said in a statement.
“We can see an expanding market in the Canadian real estate development sector, and with the U.S. economy improving, their industrial and municipal markets are beginning to open up.”
This is the second major contract announcement for the company this month.
