The Ontario government is preparing major reconstruction plans for the off- and on-ramps of two key downtown Queensway interchanges.
The province’s ministry of transportation has hired engineering firm McCormick Rankin to design changes for how motorists get on and off the highway at Parkdale and Bronson avenues.
For Parkdale this means a “realignment” of the westbound off-ramp and a widening of the eastbound off-ramp to include left- and right-turn lanes, according to a public notice from the ministry.

At Bronson it wants to lengthen the eastbound off-ramp and change how motorists get onto Bronson, the notice said. It also plans to realign nearby Chamberlain Avenue so it’s opposite the off-ramp.
The ministry said it wants to hear from businesses at a public consultation on April 3 at the Hintonburg Community Centre.
