The City of Ottawa is considering an application to build a 96,875-square-foot shopping complex in rural south Ottawa.
The Otis Group of Companies wants the city to rezone the land close to the corner of Mitch Owens Road and Bank Street in Greely to make way for six one-storey buildings.
It is proposing one multi-tenant building along with four stand-alone buildings to go along with 464 surface parking spaces, according to documents FoTenn consultants filed with the city on the applicant’s behalf.

The developer wants the zoning that currently applies to two-thirds of the site expanded to the other portion of the land it wants to develop.
According to its website, the Otis Group is a real estate developer and landlord with dozens of properties across Ontario, primarily in smaller towns and cities.
Its tenants include major retailers such as Shoppers Drug Mart, TD Bank and the LCBO.
