A Gatineau firm that specializes in software training and project management has received a six-figure boost from the federal government to help implement a nationwide marketing strategy.
Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, a federally funded agency that funds small business and non-profit organizations in Quebec, announced Tuesday it’s making a $200,000 repayable contribution to consulting company Inteloom that will help create up to 14 new jobs at the local firm.
Inteloom says it plans to use the funding to hire additional sales and marketing staff as well as redesign its website and trademark.

Founded in 2013, Inteloom has developed a software platform called GOOMTool that helps customers manage their technological requirements in areas such as project management, human resources and inventory. The firm currently has about 30 employees.
In a statement, co-founder and CEO Jean-Sébastien Vachon said the additional financing will help the company “implement and market our tool which, once known, will be the most innovative tool there is.”
