The Calian Group says it’s renewed a contract with the Department of National Defence for e-learning services in Gagetown, N.B.
The deal is valued at $15 million and runs from October 2016 to March 2019. The project also includes subcontractors Bluedrop Performance Learning and Valcom Consulting Group.
Calian said it’s been providing educational services to the Army Learning Support Centre since 2007.

“The first pillar of Calian’s growth strategy is customer retention,” said Calian president and CEO Kevin Ford in a statement. “The addition of this training contract brings our total DND major contract re-wins in the last fiscal year to five.”
Wednesday’s announcement comes less than two weeks after Calian renewed a pair of other contracts with the Department of National Defence that are worth up to $29 million combined.
Calian says the contract will help preserve 50 jobs in Atlantic Canada.
In addition to its training offerings, Calian’s Ottawa-based business and technology division provides engineering, health and IT services.
The firm has posted record-breaking revenues for the company in three consecutive quarters and reported a quarterly profit of $3.9 million In August.
