MediaMiser, an Ottawa-based provider of media monitoring and analysis, has acquired Agility, a media contact database and media analysis platform, from PR Newswire.
The acquisition was announced this week by MediaMiser’s parent company, New York-based Innodata.
The company said the acquisition will allow help it expand its presence in North America and Europe.

Agility currently has 1,500 customers and about 50 employees in the United States and the United Kingdom. The company had approximately US$5 million in revenues in 2015.
“Our existing MediaMiser customers will soon have access to Agility’s truly global database of social media bloggers, influencers and journalists,” Jack Abuhoff, Innodata’s chairman and CEO, said in the release. “Current Agility customers, meanwhile, will gain access to MediaMiser’s enterprise-level data insight tools and analysis services, which have contributed to MediaMiser enjoying one of the highest client renewal and retention rates in the media intelligence industry.”
