Ottawa’s most inspiring night – the AFP Ottawa Philanthropy Awards, also known as the Phils – returned this year, delivering a bigger and more impactful celebration than ever. The event took place at the National Arts Centre on Wednesday, Nov 19, 2025, where the Phils 2025 highlighted individuals and organizations driving positive change in the community.

Organizers introduced two new award categories — Outstanding Leadership and Focus on IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity and access), along with the AFP Rising Star Award, which recognized emerging change makers.

A total of 40 nominations were submitted for the awards, marking the largest recent number of entries. Officials congratulated all nominees and thanked community members who submitted nominations for the event, which included many special moments, including a red nose tribute to CHEO’s Molly Penny.
