Kanata North’s biggest mix n’ mingle event is almost here: in a few more than six weeks, it’s the Discover Technata Career Fair.
Hosted at the Brookstreet Hotel on April 9 from 10am to 6pm, the day is a major event for companies and job seekers alike, facilitating unparalleled networking, recruitment, and exploration opportunities.
It’s a chance for job seekers to find out more about the people behind the companies they’ve researched – and for recruiters to learn more about the people behind the resumes. The day is designed to welcome a broad spectrum of participants, from fresh-faced students to seasoned executives.
“This event is a prime opportunity for us at Nanometrics to demonstrate the cutting-edge work we do in earth science sensing. It’s our chance to meet and engage with the brilliant minds in the Kanata community,” said Marni Francis, VP of human resources and organizational development at Nanometrics. “Over the past five years, the Technata Career Fair has been instrumental for us in discovering and hiring individuals who are not only curious and passionate but immensely driven.”
Discover Technata: The gateway to talent
Last year’s event was a testament to the fair’s impact, drawing more than 3,600 job seekers and more than 40 companies to the Brookstreet Hotel. Employers spoke to a wide range of opportunities, not just in technology but across various sectors, including marketing and human resources.
“For us, Discover Technata is more than just a career fair; it’s a vital platform for real, in-person connections. Here, we’re not just offering jobs; we’re providing guidance, sparking conversations, and building relationships,” said Bryce Healey, principal HR manager at Huawei Technology, emphasizing the unique nature of Discover Technata. “It’s an unparalleled opportunity to meet potential candidates and professionals who share our commitment to innovation and excellence.”
More than a job fair, Discover Technata is a gateway to the future of technology and innovation in the heart of Kanata North.
