Developer proposes commercial condos for Prince of Wales Drive

Ottawa may soon be getting another commercial condo development.

Nepean-based developer Springcress Properties’ plans to build two commercial condo buildings on Prince of Wales Drive, south of Hunt Club Road, are currently working their way through the city’s planning process.

Both buildings in the development, being marketed as “The Chambers of Prince of Wales,” would be two storeys. Together they would have a total floor area of a little over 26,000 square feet.

The site is currently undeveloped but was previously home to a gas station.

One of the buildings will be divided into 12 “office flats” that range in size from 1,160 to 1,570 square feet, according to the project’s website. Prices for units, which are already for sale, range from $290,000 to $496,000.

The other building will be divided into four “office townhouses” that will be around 3,500 square feet. They are priced around $1 million.
