Over the last three years, only two months have seen more permits granted than this July (June 2011 with 979 and June 2009 with 987).
Contributing to the high numbers was an $18.85-million permit for the superstructure of Morguard Investments’s 21-storey Performance Court office tower at 150 Elgin St.
That’s followed in value by the $18.54 million being spent renovating 349 Terry Fox Dr. in the Kanata Research Park for Ericsson Canada.
Minto Communities Inc. tacked on 48 separate permits ranging from $1.1 million to $1.2 million for construction of stacked rowhouses on Mersey Drive and Argent Private in Kanata.
Richcraft Homes Ltd. secured 16 permits – each valued at $1.2 million – to build a three-storey, 16-unit apartment on Beryl Private in Gloucester.
