A higher number of permits helped boost the year-over-year increase in the value of newly approved construction projects last month, according to City of Ottawa figures.
The municipality gave out 703 permits worth nearly $214 million in March, an increase over the 506 permits that valued at slightly more than $176 million a year ago.
Included in last month’s permits were a technology park in Bells Corners, a new Target store at the Bayshore Shopping Centre and a Toyota car dealership.
