The Ottawa Board of Trade and the Ottawa Business Journal partnered to create Ottawa Business Events over eight years ago! Our vision is to create high value opportunities to for our business community to be connected, informed, and inspired. Business and community leaders from every industry have reported tangible rewards from actively participating by attending, sponsoring, and even presenting at our events. The annual calendar is diverse; from popular Mayor’s Breakfast series to economic summits to celebrations that recognize the best in our community.
The last two years has presented us with a “once in a pandemic “opportunity to reimagine our events and challenged us to increase value to our members and sponsors. But we think we have it! We shifted from in person events to virtual to hybrid. We increased the value to our community with access to content well beyond event day and the ability to level up sponsor recognition. It has never been more important to keep our community well networked and future thinking. Events are an important strategy for economic growth and community prosperity.
We recently hosted a sponsor appreciation event for the local businesses that supported us through this transition and contributed to the overall health of our business community when it was most needed.
