MMM Group Ltd. and CIMA+ SENC garnered a $1.8-million engineering design contract to rehabilitate the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge.
The contract, stated Public Works in a press release, was “competitively awarded” and will encompass engineering design services and preparing construction drawings. The design work should be finished in winter 2013, with three years of construction beginning that spring.
Friday’s announcement comes about 10 days after the federal government announced it would contract out to perform major rehabilitation on the Macdonald-Cartier and Alexandra bridges, as well as Chaudière Crossing.
