Renfrew County’s Wilderness Tours ride the waves of change

In this first segment of a two-part interview, OBJ Regional speaks with Wilderness Tours president Joe Kowalski about how he carved out an adventure tourism operation on the Ottawa River, rode a demographic wave of success in the ’80s and how his children are bringing fresh ideas to the business.

Kowalski is also frank about the challenges his industry is facing as entertainment options multiply and consumer tastes change.
