Shopify opens second Toronto location with room for 200 employees

Shopify has officially opened its second office in Toronto, the latest installment in a still-growing presence in Ontario’s capital.

The new space at 420 Wellington St. holds more than 160 employees, with a capacity of 218. Shopify’s original TO digs at 80 Spadina St. has a capacity of 280.

Both Toronto locations pale in comparison to the company’s coming space in the King Portland Centre, which is under construction. Shopify will be the anchor tenant of the space at 620 King St. W., which will top out at 1,200 employees. The project is slated for completion in two years.

Chief operating officer Harley Finkelstein then tweeted a heart. So I think we’re good.
(But we agree with Big Jim).
