High style, high stakes: Spurs & Sparkles and Lumière return to support Queensway Carleton Hospital

Ottawa is set to shine brighter than ever this summer with the return of two of the city’s most anticipated fundraising galas – Spurs & Sparkles and Lumière – in support of the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation.

Proudly presented by RBC Royal Bank, these signature events offer more than just a good time – they help fund critical, life-saving care right here in our community.

Giddy-Up Glam: Spurs & Sparkles Returns in Style

The festivities kick off Aug. 13 with Spurs & Sparkles, hosted at the picturesque Wesley Clover Parks. This vibrant evening blends equestrian sport with sophisticated style, inviting guests to dress in sparkling attire that reflects the festive spirit of the night.

With handcrafted cocktails, gourmet fare, and a backdrop of the Grand Prix field, this event isn’t just about mingling – it’s also about action. Guests will be treated to the lively Get Up and Gallop competition, a thrilling mix of show jumping, a golf skills challenge, and an all-out golf cart race that’s as entertaining as it is unique.

“Spurs & Sparkles is truly where elegance meets excitement,” said event Co-Chairs Catherine McLaughlin and Karen Sparks. “It’s an unforgettable night with a purpose—to support Queensway Carleton Hospital and the amazing work they do.”
