Adapting to hybrid Work: How IAV Is simplifying office technology with BYOD solutions

Interactive Audio Visual (IAV) empowers companies to embrace hybrid work through innovative solutions like "Bring Your Own Device" (BYOD), redesigned meeting spaces, and user-friendly tech to boost productivity and collaboration

IAV provides seamless transitions when clients bring their own devices

You may have heard of BYOB, but have you heard of BYOD? BYOD, also known as “Bring your own device” is becoming a common practice for companies following hybrid work models.

When organizations have a BYOD policy, it means that employees can bring their own devices into the office to connect to meetings via the platform of their choice. This approach is just one of the new methods adopted by employers to accommodate hybrid work.

Some companies continue to operate with a streamlined approach, but having the flexibility to quickly adapt to changes is imperative, as evidenced by the COVID-19 pandemic. Interactive Audio Visual (IAV), a company specializing in providing technological strategies for office spaces, is introducing new approaches to hybrid work to help companies adapt.

IAV provides integrated solutions for customers, empowering them to share information by blending and balancing the technology within the client’s environment.

“Hybrid work is now the nature of most businesses,” says Ian Smith, president of IAV.

One of the solutions IAV is deploying is “right-sizing.” The concept involves adjusting meeting spaces to fit the changing needs of businesses. Meeting rooms are no longer a place for presentations solely. They are hubs for connection. With the ability to join a call from anywhere in the world, companies are now faced with a new and exciting challenge.

IAV helps organizations transform their old meeting spaces by adjusting the size and floorplan of the rooms and specifying the video and audio capture solution, which supports BYOD functionality. Room sizes are modified to accommodate “huddle” style meetings that include two to four participants and integrated meetings which involve six to eight participants and dual screens for presentations and video calling applications.

The BYOD option allows employees to conduct calls on Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx and other applications that vendors use. With two simple connections at the meeting room table, employees can connect their devices and start a call.

Simplicity is paramount

Simplicity is paramount for IAV. From furniture to video technology, IAV works with clients to ensure that their days are not impacted by unnecessary obstacles that affect productivity. Room scheduling panels can inform employees about the availability of all rooms in the office at any given time, and the process is straightforward. When someone is about to enter a room, they can press one button on the panel outside the office. The panel provides information on the room’s schedule and allows the user to reserve the space if it is free.

“You just push a button to start. It’s that simple,” says Smith.

With the addition of a room occupancy sensor, the system will automatically release the roomand make it accessible for others after 15 minutes of no use.

To promote accessibility and user-friendliness, IAV installs the same systems in every office for a client. Employees do not need to spend their day at a different location struggling to log on. Instead, they can build connections with their colleagues.

By providing simple technological solutions, IAV is helping companies and employees maximize time and efficiency in and out of the office.
