After reveling in the glorious months of summer, autumn is the perfect opportunity for corrective facial treatments to rejuvenate your skin and reverse the negative impact of prolonged sun exposure. A subdued sun and fewer outdoor gatherings makes this season ideal for treatment to restore your natural glow when getting together with family and friends during the holidays.
Wondering where to go for this holistic cure?
Look no further than Rocaderm Clinic, an Ottawa-based cosmetic and medical aesthetics facility. Founded in 2022 by nurse Rose Caddy Nwaha, Rocaderm offers a wide variety of services including laser treatments, advanced facials, cosmetic injectables, weight-loss treatments, hair restoration treatment, intravenous and vitamin drips, and other spa services.
“Rocaderm is a one-stop destination for your beauty and wellness needs,” says Nwaha, who has 15 years of experience at The Ottawa Hospital and Montfort Hospital. She says the clinic is grounded in the philosophy that “Looking gorgeous feels good.
“Our services are accessible to all and offered by a competent and caring team of professionals whose aim is to boost your confidence in your own skin.”
An OBJ Forty under 40 recipient in 2025, Nwaha – who also runs Rocaderm Beauty Academy and Rocan Home Health Care Agency – started Rocaderm Clinic to cater to a growing local demand for cosmetic treatment and medical aesthetics. She’s focused on providing transformative medical aesthetic and cosmetic treatments at competitive rates.
‘Return clients are proof we’re on the right path’
With referral rates of almost 80 per cent, Rocaderm has gained a great deal of momentum among the business community and the rest of the city in just three years. For corporate clients, Rocaderm offers special group packages and attractive seasonal specials.
“Some clients walk in without any expectations, but then they end up returning to try other services because they realize they can get most of their needs met at Rocaderm,” adds Nwaha.
Following an initial consultation, each client at Rocaderm gets a personalized assessment and treatment plan. All services offered by the clinic have been tried and tested in-house. That Nwaha is a seasoned nurse also gives clients the peace of mind that they are in safe and highly capable hands.
“I have a number of clients who have been coming to the clinic since its early days and have tried almost everything we offer. They keep returning because they are so happy with our services. Return clients are proof we’re on the right path – and that really motivates me.”
Rocaderm also offers home services for groups to celebrate milestone birthdays or special occasions, while a wide range of skincare products can be purchased from its online store as well as in the clinic.
A caring and competent team of professionals
Nwaha is meticulous about hiring staff aligned with her mindset of offering the same high standard of expertise and consistent care to each customer. “I tell my staff that every one of our clients is as precious as our children,” she explains. “It’s my priority to ensure that my staff are not only competent, but that each one of them has what it takes to deliver consistency – so customers don’t even notice the difference if it’s a service provided by me or any other staff member.”
She and her six-member team – which includes a medical director, cosmetic nurses, medical aestheticians, and beauticians – regularly invest in continuous learning and training to stay on top of the latest technology and industry best practices.
Running Rocaderm as a serial entrepreneur
Nwaha says being a serial entrepreneur has made her more sensitive to the needs of both her team and customers. It has also taught her to overcome challenges – from training staff to managing business projections in an uncertain economy.
She also shares her wealth of knowledge through mentorship and training programs at the Rocaderm Beauty Academy, and partnerships with institutions such as Versailles Academy and Algonquin Career College.
Nwaha says expansion plans are in the works, with more clinics in Ottawa or elsewhere in Canada to come. “We want to expand in a way that’s safe for the business and also guarantees consistency for our customers and the brand,” she adds.
“Ultimately, the trust customers have in us and the impact we create is what keeps us grounded. We endeavour to continue providing the best in beauty and wellness services to our dear customers that make them feel valued and well cared for.”
