Ottawa-based Halogen Software has hired two new executives.
The company, which sells human resources software-as-a-service products, has appointed Paul Fitzpatrick as its new chief marketing officer. He’ll replace Donna Ronayne, who retired in July.
Mr. Fitzpatrick was previously the vice-president of global sales and alliances at ResponseTek, a Vancouver-based company that makes software-as-a-service products to measure customer feedback.
Before that, he worked at IBM and Cognos.
Also joining Halogen’s executive team is David Mennie, who will be the company’s vice-president of product management and strategy.
He was previously the senior director of product marketing at Acquia, which sells products and services for the Drupal content management system.
"Both Paul and David bring a proven, customer-centric focus and incredible domain expertise, leading fast growth teams in dynamic, mid-enterprise SaaS markets," Les Rechan, Halogen’s president and CEO said in a statement.
Last month, Halogen reported its first-ever quarterly profit, posting third-quarter net income of US$283,000 on revenues of $18 million.
Halogen shares were down 10 cents to $9.40 during midday trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange. However, that remains close to its 52-week high of $10.
