Applications are now open for SaaS startups looking to make a splash at one of Ottawa’s biggest annual conferences.
SaaS North, which returns to the Shaw Centre on Nov. 26-27, is offering $20,000 in cash and in-kind rewards as the grand prize for this year’s pitchfest event.
As many as 10 software-as-a-service firms will have the chance to compete in front of an audience of roughly 1,500 people for a $10,000 cash prize and a video explainer of the company from Simple Story, also valued at $10,000. A panel of entrepreneurs and investors will decide which two companies advance past the initial round of pitches, but the one-on-one final will be decided by a live audience vote on the final day of the conference.
Applications for the 2019 SaaS North pitchfest close on Oct. 3.
Now in its fourth year, the capital’s annual event for software firms and founders will feature Ottawa’s own John Sicard, CEO of Kinaxis, as one of the headline speakers.
