Join Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, the Ottawa Board of Trade and the Ottawa Business Journal on Thursday, February 23rd for the first Mayor’s Breakfast of 2023!
Start your morning with a cup of coffee, buffet breakfast and connect with colleagues in the business community. At 8:00AM, Mayor Mark Sutcliffe will give his update from City Hall, followed by a keynote address from Daniel Alfredsson
The Mayor’s Breakfast Series is an opportunity to network and stay informed on issues vital to Ottawa’s prosperity and quality. Focusing on topics such as economic development, transportation and the environment, this breakfast series provides an opportunity to network and stay informed.

Speaker: Daniel Alfredsson
Daniel Alfredsson was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he grew up playing ice hockey. He represented Sweden in the world hockey championship in Stockholm 1995 before moving to Ottawa, Canada, to play professionally in the National Hockey League.
He ended up playing 17 years for the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and was the Captain of the team for 14 years, before ended his playing career in Detroit playing for the Red Wings during the 2012-13 season. During his NHL career he also represented Sweden in international hockey numerous times, most notably in the Olympic Games on five occasions (1998, 2002, 2006, 2010 and 2014).
Alfredsson became a Canadian Citizen in 2016 and resides in Ottawa with his wife, Bibbi, and their four boys.
