One of the world’s preeminent international arbitrators, the Hon. Marc Lalonde has been an inspiration and trailblazer for many Canadians and others active in the field.
Between 1968 and 1984, Marc served as Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Trudeau, Minister of Health and Welfare, Minister of Federal-Provincial Relations, Minister of Justice, Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources and Minster of Finance.
Marc practised with the law firm of Stikeman Elliott in Montreal until his retirement in 2006.
In 1989, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada. In 2004, he was inducted into the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.
