Ottawa developer Minto received an endorsement Tuesday from a committee of city councillors to build an eight-storey condominium its proposed for a growing neighbourhood east of downtown Ottawa.
By Mark Brownlee.
The city’s planning committee voted to rezone the land at 19 Beechwood Ave., close to MacKay Street, to make way for the development. The building will replace another structure that fire partially destroyed in early 2011.
The building will feature 157 residential units and commercial spaces on the ground level.
The proposal will now go to a full meeting of city council for final approval.
