The Ottawa Business Journal is hosting a live and interactive video podcast with Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson this Friday, May 1, giving the local business community a chance to hear directly from the mayor as the city grapples with the challenges posed by COVID-19.
OBJ publisher Michael Curran will interview Mayor Watson for 15-20 minutes and then take questions from viewers. Register now to guarantee your spot as the webinar has limited availability. It will also be available afterwards as a video-on-demand.
You can submit advance questions by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The video interview comes as the province starts planning how it will reopen the economy. Ontario has given no dates or schedule for lifting COVID restrictions, other than that schools will stay closed until at least the end of May. Premier Doug Ford has been adamant reopening depends on getting the virus spread under firm control.
Earlier this week, Watson said the province's plan to gradually reopen the economy in stages “makes sense.”
